So silly... but I'm thrilled to have the perfect apple corer. Totally ergonomic, and even has a cleverly designed lever to open it up and release the core. The lever is even right where it needs to be near the index finger. . I love when I get a great product I can rave about! Apple pie-making definitely will be easier this year.
Love this corer. I have been on a kick of maki homemade apple chips and this makes things so much easier. I can very easily remove the core then make perfect rings. Also fun the give the kiddos fresh apple rings "aka apple doughnuts"
I have to say I had my doubts about the usefulness of this apple corer. I have often been disappointed with devices that promise to make tedious cutting jobs quick and easy. But this IS quick and easy. The handle is substantial enough to put your body weight behind the corer and push into it. The corer has a row of teeth that are very sharp making it easy to twist into the apple. Once it's pulled out with the full core in it, it's a simple matter to open the corer and pull it out. Get yourself an automatic peeler and a slicer and you are good to go for a pie-making afternoon!

Cores an apple in seconds, then releases the core with a quick flip. Easy to clean.
After purchasing an apple corer that also sliced apple into six thick pieces, I was thrilled to see this apple corer on America's Test Kitchen. It does a great job of removing core and then I can slice fruit into whatever sized slices I desire. It is easy on hands and easy to clean. One of my better kitchen tools.
